Wonderful

The hotel was kept on a very immaculate condition. Check-in process was quick. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was usual with lots of options. They had agreed to extend my check out time by couple of hours.. Of course with some extra pounds. But overall very happy with the stay.

Breakfast and room were both excellent I could not fault

I would have loved to give a full score but sadly couldn't because... I booked through booking.com and I was not informed that it was Card only (No cash) luckily it was a Friday and I could put cash in at the PO. Then I returned to pay for my 2 nights stay to then find the price £60 more than what I reserved the room for. Again I was not notified of a £60 deposit... surely a deposit is taken at booking (I booked over 6 months ago) I reserved the room on the option of pay at hotel with free cancellation days before through booking.com Stop trying to be a cashless society and atleast email to notify them of these terms. I'm just glad I had the spare £60! This situation could have left me without a hotel.

Great Staff.

The staff were excellent, very polite, helpful and attentive.

The only let down was the quality of the food. It was not bad, but was only average to poor. We found it difficult to walk (due to the steep long hill) up to the city centre.

Incredible stay with amazing staff, great value for money, lovely breakfast.

Super friendly staff, very clean and nice big rooms! Really great location for Kelham Island bars and restaurants.

Quite loud when others were shutting doors on the same floor.

Staff was great!!! Thanks a lot guys. Breakfast was good, everyday the same, but good. Location, I don’t know what to say about location because it took us about 20 minutes to get the train station on foot; 15 minutes to get Town Hall. It was easy to get Haddon Hall and Chatsworth by bus (about an hour and half) via Bakewell. To get the bus station it took us the same, about 20 minutes on foot.

it was cold in the room. so we had to heat the room with air conditioning setting the temperature above 24C. near the hotel there are some constructions going on, so it was kind of messy with pedestrian and overall (fencing, garbage, traffic cones etc).

Comfortable overnight stay

Reception staff were very welcoming. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable (Sofa bed more comfortable than I thought it would be, so happy to book a Queen with sofa in again in place of a family / twin if none available) Breakfast was lovely and piping hot for the cooked option; plenty of choice on offer for the continental option. Would stay here again!

Not the easiest location to get to with luggage if walking and don't know the streets surrounding the hotel that well (i,e, steep hills coming from near the Cathedral Tram Stop) Didn't get chance to use the Bar / Restaurant (though it did look lovely) There were no take out bags available to take any pastries / muffins home with us from the Breakfast selections (we didn't have time to ask a member of staff as we had to leave early for Work)

Nice hotel, good location for city centre.

Property was well located - close to city centre and clean and tidy. Room good for price paid and shower great.

Nothing although I was charged for parking even though I didn’t travel by car. However the hotel did notice this and put it right without me having to contact them after my stay.

The bed was so uncomfortable and the pillows and duvet very poor quality. I was not happy that I booked the reservation at a certain price and when we arrived was told it was more money and then when we checked out was charged another £12 for parking

really good venue , staff were great , They did the best considering the circumstances .

unfortunately the air conditioning broke in our room and several others . we were given two fans but you can imagine the nights sleep we had ! there was no opening window to let any fresh air in ,which I presume is a modern design ?

Location was great to the city centre. Complimentary breakfast was lovely, lots of choice but rather chaotic. The room was great and thought had actually gone into the location of the plug sockets and toiletries! Weekend check-out time was wonderful.

Car park charges are ridiculous. Chaotic breakfast.

Friendly reception staff, size of room, restaurant and breakfast area

Bathroom was out of order! Squealing noises coming from room next door every time they put their taps on. Kept awake from 5am.

Despite the small rooms, the rooms are nice, the bathroom was lovely. The bed was very comfy.

Air con didn't work, there was no TV remote and the rooms are tiny - photos are very deceiving. Check in was very slow, staff were changing shifts but they were all just stood about doing nothing while a big queue formed of people wanting to check in. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, didn't seem to be enough staff as they kept running out of cups, cutlery and most importantly, food! Also the clean up of tables at breakfast was very slow.

I travel a lot with work! This hotel is great! The people who work there are friendly and pleasant without being too intrusive! The rooms are bright and very clean. For me the location is excellent!

Location was brilliant, spotlessly clean room, great breakfast selection, family friendly hotel

Ordered an alarm call for the morning as my mobile battery was very low & I had forgotten my charger & needed to catch an early train from the station. Alarm call never arrived & was just lucky to wake up near alarm time which resulted in a rushed breakfast & shower

Stayed twice in this hotel. Air conditioning was broken at the first time, and they changed the room after two nights. Second time when I stayed, the staff wrote the wrong room number so can’t open the door. Hampton in other cities I stayed were excellent, but not in Sheffield. Not to mention the breakfast, much worse and less fresh than other Hampton.

It was really nice. I had stayed there before and seemed to get a better quality of room- lots of space and a nice big bed. This time I stayed with my partner and had quite a small room and two separate beds. Was nice though and you can’t hear anything from the other rooms.
