Breakfast and room were both excellent I could not fault
I would have loved to give a full score but sadly couldn't because... I booked through booking.com and I was not informed that it was Card only (No cash) luckily it was a Friday and I could put cash in at the PO. Then I returned to pay for my 2 nights stay to then find the price £60 more than what I reserved the room for. Again I was not notified of a £60 deposit... surely a deposit is taken at booking (I booked over 6 months ago) I reserved the room on the option of pay at hotel with free cancellation days before through booking.com Stop trying to be a cashless society and atleast email to notify them of these terms. I'm just glad I had the spare £60! This situation could have left me without a hotel.

Relaxed, easy to get to and comfortable
Person who checked us in was very friendly and remembered us when checked out. Hotel not far from city centre and crucible. Breakfast was nice and nothing ran out, no issues at all on our stay.

Staff was great!!! Thanks a lot guys. Breakfast was good, everyday the same, but good. Location, I don’t know what to say about location because it took us about 20 minutes to get the train station on foot; 15 minutes to get Town Hall. It was easy to get Haddon Hall and Chatsworth by bus (about an hour and half) via Bakewell. To get the bus station it took us the same, about 20 minutes on foot.
it was cold in the room. so we had to heat the room with air conditioning setting the temperature above 24C. near the hotel there are some constructions going on, so it was kind of messy with pedestrian and overall (fencing, garbage, traffic cones etc).
